T O P I C R E V I E Wangel100My saturn is conjunct my ex's venus in scorpio and his saturn in cap is square my venus??? We break up and always find a way back...its like we're glued together? Can a relationship survive where hard saturn aspects reside??LionessIn a Compsite with my husband of 12 years we had.Saturn in the 11thVenus Sq SaturnMars Sq SaturnSun Trine SaturnIn Synastry we hadSaturn sq SaturnMy Saturn sextile his moonHis SAturn opps my PlutoMy Saturn sq his, uranus,Pluto. His Saturn Sq my NeptuneMy Saturn in his 9th His Saturn in my 12thSo yeah lots of hard Saturn aspects, but at the same time I think it kept us together, even after it was long over.. It was an extremely difficult relationship to severe from..... Fate had to actually step in and take him away, to have the relationship end. bc neither of us would end it. MyVirgoMaskLioness, that sounds sad MyVirgoMaskI think if there's lots of hard Saturn aspects with no 'outlet' to other planets, it can work several ways - Either it makes it almost impossible to get the relationship off the ground because some kind of force seems to keep the two people apart constantly, or they keep getting pried apart but coming back together.Alternatively, sometimes the two people will just find a way to work things out and integrate the Saturn energies into their relationship to where the bond will keep them glued together and they will be fine with it. I think checking other aspects will determine how things get played out...plus a lot of it has to do with how the people 'do' Saturn in their own chart, how well they can handle that energy.Plus keeping in mind what each person is going through in their own life currently, because sometimes it's timing which is lousy, and gawd only knows Saturn rules time and often rules lousy timing lolLionessShrug.. IDK it is what it is... We I think Saturn was the 'glue' even in hard aspects.. Neither of us would admit it was over, we kept trying and trying.. When we finally did separated it was because of circumstances, that had happen, it had nothing to do with either of us saying ok its time to walk away... Then ironically once he was out of the house, I felt relieved, and I FINALLY felt wow its time to stop trying , and move forward.. So (idk) maybe the physical separation took the 'glue' away... At least for me...He still has not accepted it, and keeps trying to come back.. But I have let it all go... MyVirgoMaskWell, there's good Saturn aspects and bad...my ex-husband and I had my Saturn oppose his Venus and his Saturn square my Sun, which everyone born within a year or so of me will do...still, toward the end I would dread his coming home, the sound of his footsteps arriving created all kinds of negative anxiety for me. Once I was away from him, that weight you're talking about was lifted. I cried for a day or two and was over it after the fact, but it was like I did it since I consciously knew I had to grieve...and for years before, when I was with him, I had done most of my crying. You run out of tears after a while, you know? The worst example I have is of someone who had his Saturn on my Venus (chart ruler), Mars (in my 1st), in my 4th, sq my ascendant.. Oh my god, you should have seen the composite. It was like 3 grand crosses with a t-square on it, and maybe like 2-3 flowing aspects. You should have seen the way it looked - like a big KEEP OUT sign lol. Sad. We loved each other so much but it was impossible to get a relationship going... Uranus stuff also getting in the way. When both Uranus AND Saturn are at odds, there are usually bigger problems. It's like there's a problem reconciling change or anything new and unconventional (Uranus) with tradition, structure, and ingrained beliefs (Saturn). This was exactly the problem. He had an exact Saturn/Uranus square in his chart, part of a t-square with the moon. It played out badly. But I will always love him...just from afar ...as a friend...and that's it It took almost a year to get over a 4-month involvement which never went anywhere. In practical terms, that's a long time. Still, I am grateful we've remained friends. I think these hard aspects with Saturn make you remember the person, and give a very bittersweet feeling about the relationship.I don't know if you've ever seen the movie 'The Remains of the Day' with Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson but that's what I always think of when I think of Saturn in hard aspects to Venus especially. I call it constipated love lol. NephthysWhat about when there are many positive Saturn aspects in a synastry, how is it that we are not together?Positive:Venus sextile SaturnMoon sextile SaturnNeptune trine SaturnAscendant trine SaturnChiron conjunct SaturnMaybe not so good:Mars conjunct SaturnMoon square SaturnMaybe a little difficult:Saturn oppose Pluto, Mars, & UranusWell, Paul Newman and his wife had Saturn oppose Pluto and they stayed together for life. Now your next question will be what is the rest of the chart like? Well it is crazily positive!!! It's insane!!! Numerous positive Venus aspects to almost every point, positive Asc aspects to almost every planet/point, even the Composite has Venus, Moon and Jupiter conjunct in the 4th house.....it goes on and on. And, no, we are not together MyVirgoMaskNephthys, it's another one of those weird mysteries which I don't know, and I don't know if anyone knows for sure. I think often it's also got to do with life path and which one we're on or they're on, and the timing makes you get together for a certain amount of time and then pulls you apart. Or even keeps things at a distance Is Chiron/Saturn within tight degrees? It's often generational, but I have heard that the two can be very hard together in tight orbs. I also consider myself a hardcore skeptic in the sense that I don't think astrology - for now at least - will explain everything. Because I've seen the worst charts together turn into long, loving marriages and it's like something completely contrary to what ought to work. But for some reason it does because the people are ready or they've made some kind of agreement on some level...NephthysMy VirgoMask: It's like I posted here on this thread: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/003838.html quote:You can't force any soul to do/be anything before his/her own time. You just have to realize that "they are not ready yet" and move on. You can still love them. The Saturn conjunct Chiron is 0 degrees. I've read both, that it can be heavy or positive. I live in Marin County. LionessDo you guys think women feel the aspects more than women, since women are more attune to their emotions... Are the men even feeling these, strong emotions, if so how can they just walk away so easily? FEAR????? Like nothing!!NephthysThe person with the inner personal planets will feel the aspects stronger (more emotionally)Ex: A's Venus sextile B's SaturnEx: A's Moon sextile B's JupiterA will feel the emotional part of it strongerLionessWhat about in a Composite? Example..This guy Im talking aboutIn Natal he has15Cap Venus and 18 Lib PlutoVenus Sq PlutoI have2Can Venus and 0Lib PlutoSo because of degree's neither of us Venus squares the other's PlutoBut in a composite we have Venus 9Ari Opps 9Lib Pluto in exact degree. So who's the Venus and Why did I feel this more than him.. NephthysLioness, I would have to see both charts, synastry, and composite to answer more specifically, but composite is the potential of the relationship as an entity in itself. You can compare each personal chart to the composite and the one that has more aspects to the composite will feel the relationship more. Unfortuneately I only access LG.com at work, and I can't see any charts posted by photobucket b/c my work blocks photobucket so all charts appear as a little red x. LionessDamn work has to ruin it for everyone... LOL..Try this link.. I think you may be able to see the charts from here. NephthysLioness, the font on the charts are too small for me to read on my computer at work.......I tried zooming and all I get is the chart same size on another screen. Sorry! If you want e-mail me your stats and I can do it on my SolarFire software at home tonight.........nephthys@linda-goodman.comLionessOk I emailed you the info Thanks!!NephthysI just read on Kevin Burke's site that he goes by composite more than synastry when doing relationship compatibilities for couples. He said that composite IS the relationship and synastry is how it WOULD BE and how EACH PERSON contributes to the relationship.

Positive:
Venus sextile SaturnMoon sextile SaturnNeptune trine SaturnAscendant trine SaturnChiron conjunct Saturn
Maybe not so good:
Mars conjunct SaturnMoon square Saturn
Maybe a little difficult:
Saturn oppose Pluto, Mars, & Uranus
